There are many file conversion software's and websites available online for converting your power point presentation to video formats. As a trial, these softwares and websites let you do the conversion for free but the resulting video contains their own advertisement as watermark which makes your video look unprofessional.
Earlier authorstream (a ppt sharing site) used to send high quality video version of the uploaded power point presentation in email for free, but they have also stopped this free service recently.
So is there any option left. Possibly yes as long as it's available. After lot of search I came across a software called E.M. Free PowerPoint Video Converter V3.20 (Freeware) which lets you convert your PPT to standard video formats without embedding any watermark.
You need to install the free version of this software and you can easily convert any ppt to basic video formats. The snapshot of the software is shown below:

Thanks a million !!
ReplyDeleteHow come mine still have the watermark?
ReplyDeleteNo it shouldn't happen so. You can checkout the video I created using this software here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJjvqG0bm9A
ReplyDeleteIt does leave a watermark and it does not carry over any embedded audio
ReplyDeleteYour bad luck or telling lie..........i specially tried this software after reading the blog post and "IT DOES NOT LEAVE ANY WATER MARK"

Are you crazy? The website clearly states that the free version will have a watermark output.
DeleteBy chance, are you trying to promote your company or product line?
yes even my presentation converted video has the water mark
ReplyDeleteThanks for this nice post.
ReplyDeleteIts fast and clean with no watermark, however it has limited output file options under free conversion...
ReplyDeleteI am not associated with any kind of promotion of any product on this website. I personally try a product and then try to give my unbiased analysis.
DeleteI don't know how people you getting watermark when they are creating website but I have created 4 videos using the same trial version and haven't got any watermark in my converted videos. The videos links are given above.
I am not sure what kind of options you are selecting while converting. But I still use it to convert my PPTs to video for uploading in You Tube.
Converted yet another AVI video Bill Gates Biography using this converter.
ReplyDeleteHope that there is no confusion on this.
Thanks

It has taken me to the link of effectmatrix.com, which i already visited a few seconds ago. and they already mentioned in their website that there will be a watermark on the top left side, for freeware download.
ReplyDeleteThis information is not true.
Now I got it right, the problem is that the free trial will convert to videos without watermark if the output format is among WMV, MPEG4, AVI, MPEG, MP3. Any other format will have a watermark on top left corner.
ReplyDeleteI have been converting my PPTs to AVI to upload in You tube and that is why I was not getting any watermark.
I think for converting a PPT to video the above formats are more than sufficient. If some other format is required one will have to adjust with the watermark
Thanks Neha for pointing this out. I hope it solves the problem and this information is now complete.
I exported ppt to divx avi and still got a watermark on the top...
